Subterranean Supplements for 20XX Excavate

It's been 4 months since I released Excavate here and I've come to play it at least a couple of times. Since then I've stumbled across some neat ideas and tables from different other folks, that I thought usefull for the game.

And so, to bring them all together in a handy format I've made the Subterranean Supplements.

This is not a full playable 24XX module, but a ... well, a supplement that you can use together with Excavate or any other game you like.

Again, these are bits and pieces that I've taken from all over the place and mixed together in a form, that worked for me. This is not a "new" invention.

To name some of the origins:

- The Underground section in Electric Bastionland by Chris McDowall (the format of the d20 tables on page 2 is basically stolen from there)

- Esoteric Enterprises by Emmy Allen (20XX Excavate is basically my method for running EE. If you are in need for any kind of usefull table for Excavate, it's probably somewhere in Esoteric Enterprises)

- The mystery mechanic is an amalgamation of different sources (e.g. 18XX Rail Way by Diego Barreto, Shadow Precinct by Adrenaline Games, all that brilliant stuff from Jason Cordova, and the "Casing the joint" mechanic from Jason Tocci's The Venusian Job). I have to say, that my attempt here is rather half-assed. I'm shit at prepping and running investigations and wanted something that feels more like a dungeon crawl on the GM side and pretends to be an investigation on the player side. Works for me, but if you are searching for the real thing, then I recommend you to take a deep dive into the many, many other cool investigation systems out there.

- The "I always find treasure, but I'll have to roll for trouble" is basically taken from Trophy Gold by Jesse Ross, as well as Tales of the Burned Stones by Fari RPGs

- And the little Rental Gear thingy is kind of a nod in the direction of Chris McDowall's Blighters

And of course there are surely more sources than I really can remember. At this point the whole Indie scene is more like a giant swamp of precious brains that constantly zap each other with cool new input.

Hope that some of you, might find some of the stuff in here usefull. And if you think it's all just superflous stuff, than just accidentally drop it in some cavern on your next cellar-crawl.

Graveyard Greetings to y'all!
